Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our workshops, packages, consultancy and programmes. If your question is not here, ask us directly and we will reply within one working day.
Booking and pricing
How much does customer service training cost?
Our signature workshops start at £895 for up to 12 people. Packages start at £2,250, our three month Signature programme starts at £5,950 and our Five Star Partnership starts at £1,750 a month. Consultancy is quoted individually at a fixed price.
Are your prices fixed?
Yes. Every price is fixed and agreed in writing before we start. We never charge open ended day rates or add surprise extras.
Is travel included?
Yes, within Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London, Berkshire and Hampshire. For venues further afield we quote travel up front.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can, especially before the summer and Christmas seasons. Get in touch and we will check dates. For openings we can often move quickly.
Delivery
Where is the training delivered?
At your venue. Training in your own space, with your own layout and your own guests in mind, is what makes it stick.
Can you train around our opening hours?
Yes. Workshops can run before opening, on a quieter day or across two shorter sessions, so you never have to close.
Do you tailor the training to our business?
Always. Before every workshop we talk through your guests, your service style and what you want to change, and we build the scenarios around your venue.
How many people can attend?
Up to 12 for most workshops, up to 15 for Service Ready and up to 8 for Leading Great Service. Small groups mean everyone practises.
Do you work on events?
Yes. We train wedding, banqueting and conference teams before an event or season, and can lead front of house on the day so every guest gets a polished experience. We focus on the guest experience rather than planning the event itself.
Do you work with hotel groups and multi site businesses?
Yes. We build bespoke programmes across multiple sites, with consistent standards and group reporting, at a fixed price agreed up front.
Results
How do we know the training has worked?
We agree what success looks like before we start, whether that is reviews, repeat visits, spend or retention. Our packages include mystery visits before and after, and you receive a written summary after every engagement.
How can training reduce staff turnover?
People leave when they feel thrown in, unsupported or unsure what good looks like. Proper onboarding, confidence building and managers who know how to coach make people feel capable and valued, and that is what keeps them. With hospitality turnover running at around 52% a year, keeping even a few more good people saves real money.
How is this different from online training?
Online modules teach people what to know. We teach them what to do and how to say it, practised face to face until it feels natural. That is the part that changes how guests feel.
Do you train managers as well as front line teams?
Yes. Leading Great Service is built for general managers, heads of department and supervisors, and every package equips your leaders to keep standards high after we have gone.
Programmes for young people
Do you work with colleges and youth employment programmes?
Yes. Our First Shift and Work Ready programmes are built for young people starting their first job. We deliver them for colleges, councils, Jobcentre programmes and employability providers.
Who are the programmes for?
Young people aged 16 to 24 who are starting work for the first time or returning after a long gap.
